I first met Ben when we were both about 17 and his Father had a Handbag Factory in Stepney Green and my Father had a Sweet Shop also in Stepney Green.  I knew his Father and I vividly remember his Mother.

I think we both went every Wednesday to The Mile End Old Boys Club which had a disco every Wednesday evening.

I lost touch with Ben for some years and I think we met up when we discovered that some of our children went to the same school.

In 1997 Ben and I got together and opened Secrets in Hammersmith which we expanded into a chain of 6 or 7 Nightclubs in London and on the way created a few Property Developments.

It was a very productive relationship and we worked well together apart from a few bumps here and there.

He was one of the only people I could bounce ideas and problems off of and vice versa.

He said to me one day many years ago “between us, we don’t miss much.”

Having not worked together for the last year or so, and also knowing how ill he has been over the last few years, I miss him and always will.

My love to Lesley and Family and I am here for them whenever they need me.
